Full Itinerary

Day 1 - UK / Vancouver
Cross the Atlantic on a daytime flight to Vancouver from your chosen UK airport. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for a two night stay.
Hotel: Renaissance Harbourside (08) Rosedale on Robson (09)

Day 2 - Vancouver
A morning city sightseeing tour is included today, leading you to landmarks including Stanley Park and the steampowered clock in Gastown, and pointing you in the right direction for shopping and independent exploration. The remainder of the day is yours - perhaps to take a water taxi to Granville Island, where street musicians add entertainment to market shopping.

Day 3 - Vancouver / Seaplane Flight / Victoria
A new experience for many travellers, we cross to Vancouver Island by seaplane this morning, then give you a brief introductory tour in Victoria. Shop, stroll or sightsee on your afternoon at leisure. There are fabulous photo spots for seascape views, and unmissable sights include Bastion Square, Beacon Hill and the totem poles of Thunderbird Park.
Hotel: Travellers Inn

Day 4 - Victoria
Old-English charm and contemporary Canadian culture join forces in this lovely city, and you have a full day to explore at your leisure - or opt for a memorable diversion! The Pacific waters here are the haunts of massive marine mammals, and our optional whale-watching cruise could take you spectacularly close to them. Back on Terra Firma, Butchart Gardens may tempt budding botanists to tour the 35-acre spread of Mediterranean, Japanese and rose gardens. Whatever you choose to do today, it will be in a splendid setting.

Day 5 - Victoria / Kamloops
Leaving Victoria this morning, we take the ferry back to the mainland, sharing the waves with a host of marine life that's worth watching out for. Once ashore we head for the Rockies, stopping en route at the town of Hope - renowned as the ‘chainsaw-carving capital of British Columbia'. We continue from here to Kamloops, arriving in time for dinner and our overnight stay.
Hotel: Howard Johnson

Day 6 - Kamloops / Jasper
This is a magnificently memorable day from morning ‘til night! The route to Jasper National Park passes exquisite views of snow-capped Mount Robson and the scenic Monashee Mountains. The highlight of the day however - and perhaps of the whole tour - is an amazing riverboat safari, skimming over Nature's ancient highways and watching for moose and bears along the banks, and ospreys and eagles in the air above; a wildlife experience that few visitors ever find. We arrive in Jasper in the early evening for a two night stay.
Hotel: Marmot Lodge

Day 7 - Jasper
Comparatively quiet and perfectly placed amid a maze of mountains, lakes and waterways, Jasper is a hospitable village in the heart of the Rockies. Optional excursions include either a cruise on the haunting Lake Maligne to see the photogenic Spirit Island or a ‘float' down the Athabasca River for a fish-eye lens view of the scenery.

Day 8 - Jasper / Banff
The fabulous Athabasca Falls are our first stop today, as we make our way to the Columbia Icefields and another enticing, exciting experience - this time in the form of an included Icefield Glacier Experience on the Athabasca Glacier. Onward from here, we make a short stop at Peyto Lake before coming to the shores of Lake Louise. Picture postcard perfect, its cool blue waters are framed by the forbidding peaks of the Victoria Glacier, and its setting is a short drive from ‘The Pride of Canada', Banff, our home for the next two nights.
Hotel: Banff International

Day 9 - Banff
In a full day at leisure in Banff National Park, you may decide to simply relax and soak-up the atmosphere of this year-round mountain sports resort, though more exhilarating options are open to you. Your Tour Director is on hand to advise, but here are a couple of options to whet the appetite. On one, you could take to the air on a helicopter flight-seeing tour, circling the scenery of the Rocky Mountains. The other carries you by gondola lift up Sulphur Mountain, providing gorgeous Bow Valley views from its bird's eye perspective.

Day 10 - Banff / Kelowna
We'll re-cross the border from Alberta to British Columbia today, dropping from Banff's perch high in the Rocky Mountains to the sheltered valley of Kelowna, where we stay overnight. It's a contrast of climate as well as landscape, for our route includes the Glacier National Park and ends at the orchards and vineyards of Kelowna renowned for its wines, peaches and excellent (if surprising) climate.
Hotel: Ramada

Day 11 - Kelowna / Vancouver
Trade rural delights for city sights today as we head for Vancouver, stopping at Princeton. Travelling through the Okanagan Valley, we will take the scenic Crows Nest Highway from the Rockies to the coast. A late afternoon arrival in Vancouver gives you an evening at leisure to discover this scenically splendid and sophisticated city, where the tour spends its final night.
Hotel: Renaissance Harbourside (08) Rosedale on Robson (09)

Day 12 - Vancouver
Make the most of your chance for some last minute souvenir hunting before you leave this morning. Your Tour Director will give you times to be ready for transfer to the airport, getting you there in comfortable time for the return (overnight) flight to the UK.

Day 13 - Return Landing
Morning arrival at your chosen UK airport - times vary.
